MAPS – Lewis & Clark 2024-2025 Afterschool Program

• Progressive learning experience in media arts •

Unleash your creativity in this exciting course that merges music and visual storytelling. You’ll experience the entire production process in two phases: (1) collaborating to write and produce an original piece of music and (2) transforming that song into a dynamic music video.

In the music production phase, you’ll explore songwriting, composition, and audio production as you work together to craft an original track, taking it from concept to polished final mix.

In the second phase, you’ll shift to visual storytelling, learning the essentials of music video production. From storyboarding and planning shots to filming and editing, you’ll gain practical skills to bring your music to life on screen.

Whether new to MAPS or a returning student looking to expand your creative toolkit, this course provides hands-on experience in modern media creation. By the end, you’ll have a collaborative, portfolio-ready project showcasing your music and video talent.
